Dear God, Jehovah Rapha, my healer,
Teach me what winter rest is, so I can renew my body, soul, and spirit in You, Lord. Show Yourself to me in the stillness of Your creation in the winter landscape, from the lacy branches of a majestic tree against a colorful sunrise to the hushed silence of a snowy road.
Still my mind as I knit in prayer. Sit with me by a warm fire and heal my body, soul, and spirit by Your presence. Let Your presence flow from my pen, as I journal all the ways You have shown up in winter rest.
Slow dance with me, as I lift my voice up to You in worship. Walk with me on the frozen banks of the river. Let me fall asleep in Your embrace with my head against Your heart, soaking up Your presence. I find joy in our relationship in this winter season.
Thank You, Lord, for Your desire to be with me always.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10 (NLT)
