2 Timothy 1:7: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (NKJV)
God, thank You for reminding me that You have not given me a spirit of fear. Because Your Holy Spirit lives in me, I have no reason to be afraid.
I do not need to fear lack because You are my all-sufficient provider.
Discouragement need not frighten me because You are my hope.
I may have days when my body is sick, but that doesn’t need to scare me. You created me, and my life is in Your hands.
Sometimes I may feel alone, but that doesn’t need to fill me with fear. You are always with me, and you will never leave me.
I don’t need to be afraid of death because You have overcome death on my behalf. You have given me eternal life through Christ my savior.
When confusion comes, or fatigue, or sadness, I can come to You for peace and comfort. There’s no reason for me to be afraid.
You are with me in whatever circumstances I might face, and You are Lord of everything. No matter what comes toward me, You are here for me. I do not need to fear anything.
Thank You, God, that You are everything I need. You shelter me with Your love forever. I have no reason to fear. With You I have faith, hope, joy, and love that lasts forever.
I am grateful, God.
Amen
